In a recent interview, when asked what he thought of Second Thought Theatre's production of GRUESOME PLAYGROUND INJURIES, Rajiv Joseph is quoted saying:
"This production in Dallas is one of the best I've ever seen. Great company, great actors, great direction and a really nice space for that play. With this [Second Thought] production, I've seen some things I never saw before."
And as much as I love brunch, that's not the focal point of this post.
I just booked a role on BLOODY MARY - a special for Discovery ID that's being produced by NBC Peacock. I play Phoebe Hogg, a woman in Victorian England who gets murdered by her husband's lover.
So next week, I'm gonna get hacked... And then I'll have brunch.
Meet My New Manager!
To quote my mother when something very special happens - "Hot diggity dog!" (The previous MUST be said in a thick Texas accent).
I've signed with Bernard F. Bunye of Brownstone Entertainment Management. Bernard just gets me - as an artist and as a person. We are going to do some bad ass things together.
For bookings, auditions, or if you'd just like to talk to someone awesome - please contact Bernard at the information listed below:

Closed GRUESOME PLAYGROUND INJURIES with a sold out weekend. What a kick ass journey it has been to work on this play.
This weekend I headed back up to the Beaverkill Valley Inn - the beautiful location where we shot the film - to catch a screening of GROOMED. This film is going to take the festival circuit by storm, y'all. Check out the trailer by clicking the link below:
Check out this behind the scenes video of GRUESOME PLAYGROUND INJURIES. This show has been so awesome to work on I thank the Theatre God (otherwise known as Michael Shannon) every day for such a kick asstastic opportunity.
I'll be playing the lead in GRUESOME PLAYGROUND INJURIES directed by Joel Ferrell (Assistant Artistic Director of the Dallas Theater Center). The play will run during Theatre Communications Group's National Conference.
That I get to expose my work to theaters across the country with this awesome play by Rajiv Joseph makes me bust out my best happy dance.

I get to do a lot of cool shit for my job. Yesterday, I got to play ping pong in preparation for the awesome short comedy HARDBAT that starts shooting this weekend. I get to play alongside Ronald Guttman (Mad Men, The Hunt for Red October). I play Lily, the trying-really-hard-to-be-rebellious teenage daughter that disapproves of her father's table tennis obsession.
HARDBAT: "Recently retired Harvey has become obsessed with table tennis. One night, along with his wife (Marianne) and his daughter (Lily), he goes to dinner at Lily's boyfriend's house (Jared) to meet the family with whom she has been spending so much time. When Jared's father (Jeff) brings up the topic of ping pong, what should be a pleasant evening quickly devolves into a show of Harvey's knowledge, competitiveness, and his quest for the perfect paddle."
Just wrapped on the feature STALE RAMEN. Any job where I get to shoot on the Arri Alexa, wear hot pink pants, and my hair in an 80's style ponytail is a-ok in my book.
Interviews and Suspenders!
I talk about working on YOUR COLONEL in an awesome interview by Carey Purcell. We talk passion, politics and revolutionary women. Check out the link below to give it a read!
Being a historical fiction geek myself, my nerd flag is flying high for my next project. I'll be playing Margaret Moncrieffe - the smart, brazen, teenage love interest of Aaron Burr - in a new play called YOUR COLONEL. It will be running as part of the Founder's Festival at Metropolitan Playhouse.
"In July 1776, the Declaration of Independence is the last thing on the mind of young Colonel Aaron Burr. As the British fleet invades Staten Island, Burr's illicit romance with the teenage daughter of a British Major and his longstanding battle of principles with George Washington collide, propelling him towards becoming our most vilified founding father."
"City Line" will have it's premiere October 27th at The Miller Theatre on Columbia's campus. It will hit the big screen in the 3rd program of the day - 3:00pm - 4:10pm.
I'm heading out of town for a week to shoot "GROOMED" - a comedic short directed by Wyatt Rockefeller. Funny script, awesome location, and shooting on super 16mm film - doesn't get much better than that!

We wish you a scary Christmas!
What's the best way to get in the holiday spirit? Shoot a horror movie, of course! I start shooting the horor feature EVIL ALIVE this weekend.
The producers have me tight lipped on this one... but you can check out the website for teaser trailers and more!
